A Case Study in Success: A Leading Pharmaceutical Company in Bhiwadi, India
In 2020, Green Power International successfully installed and commissioned a MWM TCG 2020 V16k 1500 KWe Natural Gas Genset with Balance of Plant for a leading pharmaceutical company in Bhiwadi, Rajasthan, India. In response to increasing power requirements, we installed a powerful 2300 KWe MWM TCG 3020 V20 Natural Gas Engine, equipped with a Waste Heat Recovery Boiler (1.5 ton), in January 2023.
Additionally, the system features a hot water recovery process from the engine jacket water. This recovered hot water is effectively utilized for dehumidification of the manufacturing area, ensuring optimal humidity levels and improving overall operational efficiency. By leveraging the heat generated by the engine, this process not only enhances energy utilization but also contributes to a more sustainable manufacturing environment. The pharmaceutical company has expanded its energy system by adding another 2300 KWe gas genset, paired with a 1.5 TPH boiler and a 7 Lac KCal hot water recovery unit. This new system has already accumulated nearly 10,000 operating hours and counting.

Our gas gensets go beyond simply providing backup power. The Waste Heat Recovery Boiler captures engine exhaust heat and converts it into steam for the process plant. This innovative solution achieves significant energy savings, up to 60% compared to separate power and heat generation. Additionally, natural gas gensets support environmental sustainability by producing lower carbon emissions, aligning with the eco-friendly objectives of many pharmaceutical companies.
